In Yoga, the term "self study" or svadhyaya has had different interpretations depending on the source. In one case, it means utilizing your own time to study the scriptures, the writings and resources that explain the fullness of Yoga. In the other connotation, it means looking inward to reflect your own journey, behaviors, scars or samskaras, and health practices. Either way, the definitions seem to go together quite well because you have to take care of yourself while you are studying the resources you choose. You need to know enough about yourself to decide which interpretation of the Sutras makes the most sense for your life.
These quotes also include a few on anxiety and depression since they are demons (suffering) that try to steer you off your path of enlightenment or even basic daily functioning.
